Fatima Chinita (Docent ESTC of the Film Department) has won the AIM Award-Association of Motion Picture Investigators on the Move for Best Test: "Roy Andersson's Tableau Aesthetic: A Cinematic Social Space Between Painting and Theatre".

A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence, 2014

" The analysis that Fatima Chinita operates from the Roy Andersson trilogy goes beyond a keen examination of those three films by the Swedish filmmaker: engender a deep reflection about concepts such as spatiality, the bile representation, the intersection between painting and cinema, or the relationship between art and life. The originality of the proposed readings does not, however, refuse dialogue with thinkers and critics who have previously occupied themselves with the concepts that in this essay are operatives. It was this relationship with file theories, in an acute look at a piece, transformed into appreciation of art, which the jury decided to award. "
