The cycle of (re) performances, films and conversations, which constitutes the first axis of dance non-dance, relies on the institutional collaboration of the National Bailar Company, the National Conservatory School of Dance, the Higher School of Dance and the Higher School of Theatre and Cinema.

With the curatorship of João dos Santos Martins, Ana Bigotte Vieira, Carlos Manuel Oliveira and Ana Dinger, the program is divided into three axes, comprising a cycle of events, a book and an exhibition. Each of these axes runs through the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first century, problematizing in its own way (specific to its mediality) linear representations of the time, echoing the remaining ones and giving seeing the dances and their histories of different perspetives.

Full program from October 30, 2023 to February 25, 2024 >

Dance not dancing-archeologies of the new dance in Portugal is a programme dedicated to different manifestations of dance, seeking to situate what, in the 1990, called the Portuguese New Dance, not without giving account of what of "new" exists in a multitude of occurrences that go through the twentieth century. It is about "dancing the nervousness of history" by experimenting, by the dances, the contradictions of the time when these occur, giving to see possible other times.
