(ARTISTIC SCHOOL FINALISTS-2018/2019)

Creation Support Fund-TN21- The Heart of Helena

The National Theatre 21 has since always been seeking, a field of experimentation in theatrical area and creation (even if some repertoire choices seem to refer to classic forms of theatre). TN21 has also, and essentially, a past with a performative repertoire, as is the case of Violence-fetish of the good man and an opera-punk taken to the scene in 2011 (both presented in the studio room of the TNDMII).

In this senda of experimentation and a watchful eye to the present moment, TN21 decided in the framework of the production of The Helena Corps (project supported by the emergency fund of the General Directorate of the Arts), to move forward with a Creation Support Fund for young Artists formed in Theatre / Performative Arts, in the school year (2018/2019). With this initiative, TN21 intends to reaffirm its commitment to times we live by, offering its scale a response to a new generation of artists (who cannot give up even before it begins).
