On the January 18, at 18 p.m., it will be presented at the National Press Library the book "Magazine Theatre in Portugal: Revists" Lost "and Others (1851-1868)", with scientific coordination from Eugenia Vasques (Jubilate Professor of the Higher School of Theatre and Cinema-Polytechnic of Lisbon), an edition of INCM-National Press-House of the Currency, in partnership with the Polytechnic of Lisbon and the Higher School of Theatre and Cinema.

The session, which will be presented by the encenician-author Filipe La Féria, will count on the presence of Eugia Vasques, of Elmano Margato, President of the Polytechnic of Lisbon, and of Duarte Azinheira, Director of Editions and Culture of the National Press-House of Currency.

SINOPSE

" The present works is a contribution to the preservation and dissemination of important unheard of the history of the Revista Theatre in Portugal. In addition to framing essays and historic-artistic analysis and the exploration of specialized bibliography, involving researchers from different institutions of higher education (CIAC-Centre for Studies in Arts and Communication / University of the Algarve / Higher School of Theatre and Cinema-Politecnico of Lisbon, CIEBA-Centre for Research and Studies in Belas-Arts, Faculty of Belas-Artes/ University of Lisbon, CESEM-Centre for Studies of Sociology and Musical Estetics, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences / New Lisbon University), the volume gives to read, through transcription, the unheard guions of journals judged and held by lost and images of magazines published at the time of the premiere but of difficult access or, more so, of untold importance in the ensemble.

The corpus consists of the unreleased pieces Lisbon in 1850: Magazine in 3 Acts, The Fast of a Noivado: Magazine in 3 Acts and Which one will bring them? Magazine in 3 Acts, represented, respectively, in 1851, 1852 and 1853, originally at the Theatre of the Dramatic Gym. They follow Fossilism and Progress, from 1855, and the 1858 Magazine (published), The Material Improvements, of 1859-piece that was censored, having been published, but which remains very relevant because it denounces, in preface, the intertwined nature of censorship-, Passed, Present and Future, from 1861, the Magazine of 1862 (already published, but of which we show the manuscript), the 1866 Revista (the Vapor), the 1867 Magazine and the Celebrity Magazine of 1868, published but of which, equally, we show the manuscript. "
