Held on January 4 in the services of the chairman-building of the Lisbon Polytechnic, in Benfica, the takeover of ESTC's governing bodies.
The lecturer Emicide Buchinho, sound expert, musician and composer, is the new president of the Higher School of Theatre and Cinema (ESTC), coated by the vice-presidents Luís Fonseca, of the film department, and Ciro Aprea, of the theater department. The lecturers Maria João Vicente and Marta Cordeiro assume the leadership of ESTC's Representative and Technical Councils of Representatives, respectively.
Elmano Margato, President of the Polytechnic of Lisbon, thanked David Antunes, the outgoing president of ESTC, for the work developed in the exercise of the post. To the new president he wished "luck, courage, capacity for dialogue, tolerance and above all commitment to give continuity to the work developed by the previous president". The IPL leader acknowledged the competence and quality of the theatre and film departments and the contribution given to the country's development in the field of the arts, yet made an appeal to the newly inaugurated to engage in the formal qualification of the faculty.

The ESTC Pedagogical Council consists of 10 faculty, being 5 from the department of Theatre and 5 from the Cinema department, and 10 students, 5 from each department. It is incumbent upon this body, among various responsibilities, to approve the evaluation regulation of the students ' harnessing and to pronounce on new cycles of studies and plans of the existing study cycles.
