The Directorate General of the Arts, as the commissioner of the Portuguese official representation in the 15th Quadriennial of Prague-PQ23-Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space, invited the APCEN-Portuguese Centers Association to perform the curatorship of the project to be presented in the "Students" section.

The theme proposed by PQ23 for the "Students" section is "RARE Stories of Unique Places", inviting participants to draw up exhibitions (or immersive experiential spaces), inspired by their culture, identity, and in local knowledge, ideas, materials and artistic approaches linked to communities. It is believed that the "spirit of the venue" can inspire and give rise to new RAROS and visionary works of performance design / cenography, experiences that fully capture the senses of audiences, their emotions and perceirements. The "Students" section is intended to make it known to the work developed by students, young designers, cenographs (up to 5 years after the completion of your training) and emerging studios in representation of your country.

"I have competed with part of my master's project, specifically with the catalog "Hello, I am Miguel. I'm a scenographer and I'm a scenario. " A photographic production carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic, in the quarantine period, between May and June 2020, where I assume the authorship of the artistic direction, scenarios, costumes, props, lighting and characterization. With the knowledge of the Open Call: Project Spaces Admirable and, having I worked on the numinous concept, it made me all the way to give it to know and run in this way. The production of a visual artwork, revealing my search for the admirable and the challenge in transmuting feelings, vivences, traumas, passions, dreams, memories, people and my gaze upon the world in voice-over spaces, such as what I lose out to be a true exercise of empathy ".

Summary
Privacy is not born with us, it is us instilled by the education we have received and society that we live, and yet it is something that can go from a song or thought, to any part of the body and even to what we feel. Even in public, among a group of people, with friends or in a crowd we still manage to have privacy, and it is in this experience of collective privatization that this project centers on.
So being, I designed an installation consisting of iron and elastic sticks in tension that intersect and form a large web for the public to interact with and in the space that from the outside to the inside, gradually, if it will become more enclosed and tight. Therefore, it is intended that the reverberations caused by the actors will be felt all over the space, for given the fact that the rope is elastic and being in tension, when it moves at a point that action will be repertoire on the other strings by the space, also conferring a sense of presence of others. That is, we find ourselves in a space that will progressively "shut down" and, apparently we do not let ourselves reach out to others, yet at the same time it manages to feel that other people are in that space with us-we are "privatizing ourselves" but not alone. The installation of this sculpture is intended to be in a public space referring to this idea of the intimate accompanied / set.
